What is Conductivity Meter in Bangladesh

Conductivity is a measure of the ability of water to pass an electrical current. Because dissolved salts and other inorganic chemicals conduct electrical current, conductivity increases as salinity increases. Organic compounds like oil do not conduct electrical current very well and therefore have a low conductivity when in water. Conductivity is also affected by temperature: the warmer the water, the higher the conductivity.

How to calibrate conductivity meter

  1. Make sure the conductivity meter and probe are appropriately plugged in.

  3. Clean the probe with deionized water, and gently wipe it dry with Kimwipe.
  4. Place the probe in the standard solution and press “Cal” button.
  5. Make sure the conductivity displays 1413 µS/cm for the standard solution.
  6. Press “Mode” button, and now the instrument is ready for measurements.
  7. Clean the probe with deionized water, and gently wipe it dry with Kimwipe.
  8. Place the probe in a sample solution and press “Measurement” button.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 with all other sample solutions. And. So so. And. So so. And. So so
  10. Make sure to clean the probe when finished! And. So so. And. So so. And. So so

Remember to clean the probe with DI water and dry with Kimwipe between any calibration or sample measurements!
